I am Christine Harper, and for most of my life, I've had a passion for public speaking.  I'll never forget I won my first speech contest in elementary school.  I was only in the fifth grade, and as I looked at the other students, some were already preparing for high school, and I gazed out into the audience, and I imagined my father saying, "Christine - you can do this. I bought home more than a trophy that day and went on to study public speaking in college before graduating with a degree in sociology. I later allowed my public speaking success to guide me up the corporate ladder of IBM®  as a sales professional.  I don't know which one made me more successful, my knowledge of our IBM® product line, my ability to make mundane and technical subjects attractive and fun for the audience, or my ability to stand up and speak with confidence, courage, and charisma."
