FEAR leads to ILL HEALTH. It's detrimental to success and well-being. HERE IS THE Solution.May 25, 2020

False Evidence Appearing Real is an acronym for FEAR; Fear is the opposite of Faith - it's an antonym of the word fear. FAITH comes from finding and Feeling Answers In The Heart. To Feel Answers In The Heart or have Faith, you must be connected spiritually with Something greater than yourself.
I like to call that Something the Grand Overarching Designer of the Universe. That spiritual force that gives us all life and energy. It's the force that has made all things possible for man, including life itself.
It is the force that has maintained life and aided man in his journey. It has blocked us from extinction for well over 200,000 years. It is the same spiritual force dramatized in movies like Star Wars, The Matrix, and all movies where the heroes rise to a higher level of good to save free-will and destroy evil. It's A real energy, it's positive and it connects everything to everything else. It gives us a greater purpose for being.
It's something the mainstream media, government bureaucrats, and many progressive libertines know nothing about...
If more people had FAITH in something larger than themselves, or their scientists, they would not have feared the unknowns that came with the #CoronaOutbreak of 2021, and the entire situation would have played out differently; The economy, movies, parks, and life would have remained open and available to all.
The prominence of fear as a theme in reports of the coronavirus suggests that much of the coverage of the outbreak is more a reflection of public fear than informative of what is actually happening in terms of the spread of the virus.
Without the anxiety that many people felt in the early days of the pandemic, they wouldn't have been so easily manipulated into buying toilet paper, letting loved ones die without a final hug or one last goodbye, and a proper burial. They would have had confidence that they could have survived. But as the man in the book said,
"It has been done to you this day as you have believed." (Matthew 8:13)
If that's too philosophical, here's one of my favorite stories from Think And Grow Rich: The Powerhouse Mastermind Text. It's recorded on page 195, lines 447 through 455, and it talks about New York City's response to the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918. I find it interesting because many of our most notable news organizations consistently compared the 2019 and 2020 COVID pandemic to the Spanish flu of 1918.
In trying to stoke fears CNBC said, "the coronavirus is at least as deadly as the 1918 flu pandemic." The CDC retorted, "The 1918 influenza pandemic remains the most severe-pandemic in recent history. " The Register-Herald, in November 2020, wrote that the Pandemic of 1918 was more deadly than Covid-19. With all of the confusion, fear-mongering, and misinformation USA Today found a need to fact check the claim that "COVID-19 is deadlier than the 1918 Spanish flu and seasonal influenza."
They found that the CDC is correct, "The 1918 influenza pandemic remains the most severe-pandemic in recent history."
So, in reality, it can be said that,
The fear of ill-health or the fear of contracting the COVID-19 is causing people to act more irrationally in their response today, than toward the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918.
I have read psychological studies and reports by guys like Martin La Monica, The Deputy Editor for Science Coverage at the conversation.com, that say,
"Media coverage of epidemics often stoke fear and panic."
He went on to say,
"Media coverage is vital to our shared conversations and plays a key role in regulating our emotions, including fear. While fear is an emotion that we frequently experience as individuals, it can also be a shared and social emotion, one-which circulates through groups and communities and shapes our reactions to ongoing events. Like other emotions, fear is contagious and can spread swiftly.
Media coverage sets the agenda for public debate. While the news doesn’t necessarily tell us what to think, it tells us what to think about. In doing so, the news signals what issues merit our attention. Research has consistently shown that when issues receive extensive media coverage and are prominent in the news agenda, they also come to be seen as more important by members of the public."
Deborah Serani, Psy.D., writing for Psychology today in 2011 said,
"News programming uses a hierarchy of if it bleeds, it leads. Fear-based news programming has two aims. The first is to grab the viewer's attention. In the news media, this is called the teaser. The second aim is to persuade the viewer that the solution for reducing the identified fear will be in the news story.
The success of fear-based news relies on presenting dramatic anecdotes in place of scientific evidence, promoting isolated events as trends, depicting categories of people as dangerous, and replacing optimism with fatalistic thinking."
Some news stations work with consultants who offer fear-based topics that are pre-scripted, outlined with point-of-view shots, and have experts at-the-ready.
And that brings me back to a recent discussion we had with the members of our Think And Grow Rich Mastermind Group. We talked about the importance of being able to see things from different perspectives and arrive at your own opinions and releasing yourself from the six basic fears and controlling desires of manipulative influencers with opposing agendas. We discussed the fear of ill health and we contrasted the current COVID-19 situation with what's contained in Think And Grow Rich about the Spanish Flu of 1918.

Here's what the author, Napoleon Hill wrote..., and in case you're wondering he was 35years old during the Spanish Flu epidemic. He said,
"During the flu epidemic which broke out during the world war, the mayor of New York City took drastic steps to check the damage which people were doing themselves through the inherent fear of ill health. He called in the newspaper men and said to them, gentlemen, I feel it necessary to ask you not to publish any scare headlines concerning the flu epidemic. Unless you cooperate with me, we will have a situation which we cannot control. The newspapers quit publishing stories about the flu, and within one month the epidemic had been successfully checked."
Now I know what you're thinking, so I did some more research. it was remarkably similar to the research I did while studying at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and assisting in postgraduate studies at the National Defense University in Washington DC before briefing Senior Leaders for the U.S. Pentagon's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
What I confirmed was so true that it was written in headlines like this one from the Staten Island news that says, "NYC never shut down during 1918 flu pandemic." New York City remained open throughout the pandemic. And New York City leaders like Mayor John Francis Hylan and Health Commissioner Royal S Copeland received credit for handling the disease better than other cities did. Instead of shutting down, they created positive media that encouraged people to take personal responsibility. It worked amazingly well.
So, the problem we suffered during the Covid Pandemic was one Napoleon Hill would call a media-induced fear of ill health. Hill also noted in the 1910s, '20s-and-30's that,
Certain unethical people engaged in the business of selling health have also been responsible for keeping alive the fear of ill health. 100-years later, that fear is still crippling, scaring, and causing otherwise intelligent people to do unintelligent and irrational things like hoarding toilet paper, calling the authorities on neighbors who refuse to follow the strictest face mask requirements, and showing up in local stores wearing the most ridiculous personal protective equipment ever.
So, the question of the day is...
How do we defeat this media-induced fear of ill health?
In 2020, shoppers around-the-world donned everything from trash bags and plastic bottles to scuba suits and snorkeling gear to entertain government mandates requiring the wearing of non-sensical personal protective equipment while shopping for groceries and supplies. Some people were trying to be funny, while others were desperately trying to stay safe. The only problem was that no one could tell who was who. The government largely mandated the wearing of a mask. None of the masks were required to meet an official OSHA, ANSI, or DOD standard, outside of the workers who were at serious risk and for whom certified masks, are regulated by OSHA, ANSI, and/or DOD Standards.
It's simple. Here's what Napoleon Hill said,
Absolve yourself of the fear of ill health by making a decision to forget the symptoms. I say, forget the symptoms, and refuse to die. Insist on living your life to the fullest until your time has come. Because once your time has come, there is no escaping death. Remember, fear sells, and the media is in the business of saying anything that will help them sell subscriptions, pay their bills, accomplish their goals and fulfill the agendas of their paying clients.
I think the next question should be, what's their agenda, and how is it the same, conflicting, or maybe even different and detrimental to yours?
